Help Los Angeles Fire Survivors
We invite you to be part of the LGBTQ+ Community's ongoing response to the fires in Los Angeles County
On January 7, 2025, a series of highly destructive and rapidly-spreading wildfires sprang up in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. Fed by severe drought conditions and fierce winds, the devastation was staggering: 29 lives lost, over 200,000 forced to evacuate, more than 20,000 structures damaged or destroyed, and a clean-up and rebuild expected to take years and cost $250 to $350 billion dollars.
Rainbow World Fund is dedicated to providing ongoing support for marginalized communities affected by this disaster. Thousands of maids, gardeners, maintenance workers, and retail restaurant employees are now out of work. These fire survivors, documented and undocumented, work in temporary or low-wage jobs without sick leave or unemployment insurance, and those that are undocumented do not qualify for assistance from FEMA. We are partnering with local groups that are mobilizing to provide front-line aid. RWF will continue to provide aid to these communities that do so much for California.

Together, we can rise from the ashes, providing hope and healing to those who need it most.
